We all heard of To Do lists – whether you like them or not. We are all working to do a certain thing put into a timeframe.
BUT here are my questions for you: What if you wouldn’t have a To Do list?
What would your life look like?
Would you still do the same things?
If so, why do you need to have them in a To Do list?
The feeling of instant gratification is very charming, so it’s very satisfying to put everything into a To Do list.
Do you put washing your teeth, taking a shower into your To Do list? Why not? It sounds silly, right?! Because you are already doing it. You’ve been doing it for so long that it has become a habit. You do not need to check it off of a To Do list. You already are the person who washes their teeth or showers in the morning. It would take up a lot of your time to manage these tasks in the form of a list.
Who do you need to be?
If you are struggling with creating large To Do lists that you rarely have the opportunity to finish in time, then you are not the person who would normally do those tasks.
So you need to ask yourself what would that person be like?
What would that person do first thing in the morning?
How would he/she handle crisis situations?
Would this person have a long To Do list or just go out and live their true selves?
Small changes are key when considering making a step towards your better self.
Contrary to popular belief you can not work on several changes at the same time. Well, you can, but it wouldn’t be efficient. So you would end up being always just right in time or keeping it up without any much time to sleep and recover and never a step ahead.
So take a stand, answer honestly and shift your perception from DOING to BEING.
So there it is, hope I have answered some of your questions. Leave a comment or message me for more.
